After your site has been approved, it will be added to the ring.

Important Information:

You will need to place the html fragment, (at bottom of this page) into your web page document if you want the Palomino Tennessee Walking Horses Web Ring to recognize your site. You will also need to copy the image below to your own site. Please do not place a link to the image on our site.

If you have any problems, please don't hesitate to contact the Ring Master.

You may use a "Palomino" image of your choice. If you don't have an image that you would like to use of your own, you may use the image to the right for this Web Ring. You can copy it by right clicking your mouse button and saving it onto your hard drive. Upload the image to your own server. (Please DO NOT link to the image on this page.)

Frequently Asked Questions:
  • What is a Web Ring?
  • How do I cut and paste?
  • Help! My code doesn't work!

What is a Web Ring?
Web Rings are simply pages on the internet that are linked together by a common code inserted on each site's page. If you follow the links long enough they will form a circle and bring you back to where you started. You can go from page to page or select a random link and wind up...who knows where!

To cut and paste
Just hold your left mouse key down across the body of above text to highlight it. Then release the key - click "edit" on your browser's toolbar and select "copy." Place mouse pointer at insertion point of your document (where you want the text to go) and click. Then go back to "edit" on your browser's tool bar and click "paste." It's a breeze!

It might look intimidating but the "cut and paste" moves the whole html fragment at once and all you do is insert your ID number where it asks you to. See the example below:

Change the references to http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=goldtwh&id=XX so that the id=XX is replaced with your site ID number. For example, if your site ID number is 18 the A HREF should be something like: A HREF="http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=goldtwh&id=18"

Please Note that after you have submitted your site, YOU ONLY HAVE 10 DAYS TO ADD THE NECESSARY HTML FRAGMENT AND IMAGE TO YOUR SITE.

If you have not added the code and image in the 10 day time limit, and you have not requested an extension, your site will be automatically removed from the queue. If you still want to be in our Web Ring, you will have to resubmit your site. Note that you may be given a new ID number.

After you add code and image, you must Email the Ring Master, and send your ID number in the Email. A sample message is displayed below.

"My ID number is__?__, my page url is http://____?____. My HTML fragment and image are in place on my page. I am waiting for your approval!"

Help! I can't add my html fragment!
If you have tried to add your html fragment but it distorted once you viewed it in your browser chances are:

  • your browser or your web page editor does not support tables
  • your web page creator adds erroneous tags to the code after you save your document
  • your web page creator converts the text to a graphical interpretation
  • your graphics are not loaded into the right directory on your server-please double check!
  • if your fragment is in text form on your page then you need to delete the (XMP) from the beginning of your html fragment and the (/XMP) from the end of your html fragment

If you encounter any problems when adding the fragment to your document please feel free to contact the Web Ring Ring Master at goldtwh@webaffects.com for assistance.
